Brief History

Currie European Transport Holdings Limited
The origins of our company are in UK transportation, which we established, in the early 1970's. We then diversified into European distribution and quickly added strategic locations throughout Europe to assist our growth.

Subsidiary companies:
Currie European Transport Holdings Limited was incorporated during a Group restructure in May 1999 which resulted in this new Holding company being formed to take its three subsidiary transport companies forward into the new Millennium.

Currie European Transport Limited
Currie European Transport Limited is the largest company within the Group which is operated from our head office in Dumfries, South West Scotland. This is a UK and European transport, warehousing and logistics organisation formed in 1977.

Other UK depots are located at; Dundee, Prestwick International Airport and Warrington.

Currie European Transport BV
Based in Nijmegen, Netherlands and was formed in 1986 principally to support back loading Scottish vehicles back to the UK. This operation moved to a purpose built transport and logistics centre in 1995.

Currie European SA
Formed in 1990 and is based in Gennevilliers, Paris, France. Like Currie European Transport BV this subsidiary was formed to assist with the reloading of trucks back to the UK. To date we have attracted major blue chip French companies as a direct result of our presence in France.

In November 2001 Transport Currie Sarl merged with Intrans Route International SA to further enhance our groupage services throughout Europe.
